Alerian is an independent company based in Dallas, Texas in United States which provides Master Limited Partnerships. It was founded by Gabriel Hammond. He joined the company as its asset manager in the year 2004. But it was only after Kenny Feng joined in the year 2005, that they decided and finally created the Alerian MLP Index. This index was said to be the first real time index for the MLP.  The good news is that the NGL Energy Partners have recently decided that they would love to to co-join the Alerian. There are many indices that are used for Alerian. These indices are the Alerian MLP Index, the Alerian MLP Infrastructure Index, the Alerian MLP Energy Infrastructure Index., the Alerian Equal Weight Index, the Alerian Natural Gas Index and the Alerian Large Cap Mlp Index.

Alerian doesn’t only believe in its wn betterment but also believes in others help. It helps in licensing it’s indices to various third-parties who needs them. The investors are very much provided with this luxury that helps them in accessing the MLPs energy infrastructure. They need not worry about K-1 forms.
